Giving Days Helps Delta Four Skatepark Create an Inclusive Space for Young People

We have recently supported local skatepark, Delta Four, by giving them a £7,000 grant to help them renovate their indoor facility in Norwich. The skatepark is a much-loved community hub, especially for young people with special needs, learning difficulties, and from deprived backgrounds.

The grant went towards installing a foam pit, adding a beginner section, improving the box jump area, and creating a new raised viewing platform. These renovations were designed to make the skatepark safer, more accessible, and better equipped to cater to all riders. The upgrades also included new materials for the ramps and expanded spectator seating, ensuring families and caregivers can stay close by to support their loved ones.

Max Ward, from Delta Four, said: “Without the support of Giving Days, we would never have been able to transform our skatepark into the best possible space for our users! The changes have enabled us to better cater to our Alternative Provision sessions, which support children with a wide range of disabilities and challenges. Since the transformation, we’ve seen incredible growth in both our provision and regular sessions. We’re extremely grateful for the help and the new lease of life they’ve given our skatepark.”
Delta Four Skatepark was founded to provide a safe, supportive environment for young riders, regardless of their background or ability. The skatepark is now expected to welcome over 600 visitors every month, offering more young people the chance to develop their skills, build friendships, and create lasting memories.
