We’re proud to support PACT Animal Sanctuary, a Norfolk-based charity dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned, abused, and injured animals. Giving Days has provided a grant of £5,625 to fund 35 two-way radios. An essential upgrade to improve communication and emergency response across their six-acre site in Hingham.

PACT is home to around 1,600 animals each year, cared for by a dedicated team of 36 staff and volunteers. Until now, the team relied on mobile phones to communicate across the sanctuary, but an unreliable signal has made coordination challenging, particularly in urgent situations. With the new radios, staff and volunteers can stay in clear and constant contact wherever they are on site.

This improvement will transform day-to-day operations. From coordinating animal rescues and medical emergencies to managing daily tasks more efficiently, the radios will enhance both safety and care.

A PACT spokesperson said: “The donated radios have made a remarkable difference to the day-to-day running of PACT Animal Sanctuary. Where communication was once broken and unreliable, staff can now stay in clear, constant contact across the site. This has not only improved efficiency but significantly enhanced health and safety, ensuring help can be reached immediately if needed. We are incredibly grateful for this generous gift, which truly supports the wellbeing of both our team and the animals in our care.”
