Powered by Giving Days – Break’s CoffeeBreak van
8 September 2023

In June, we handed Break Charity a £2,000 grant to enable them to buy a new battery for their CoffeeBreak van and we’re thrilled to hear about the difference it’s already made!
Blyth Roelofs-Storie, Senior Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser at Break, said: “Normally I would wait up to a year to give this sort of feedback, however, Joe recently recently attended a major event with the CoffeeBreak van and I wanted to let you know what happened.
Joe and our young trainees attended the recent Festival of Sport at Holkham Hall. Over the two days Joe says “It was so much fun, and our young baristas did us proud….we were literally not stop lattes from the second we opened the hatch!” Because of the new battery, Joe and the young people were able to run the van for full days, without having to stop early due to running out of power.
The extended working hours that the battery allowed gave the team an amazing opportunity to engage with the public and promote the work that we do at Break. The CoffeeBreak van was also there to raise money for the charity and over the two days Joe and the team took in a whopping £2,436. This was only possible because Giving Days so generously donated the money for the new battery.
Joe came to let me know how brilliantly the battery had performed on its first outing.”
Break is a charity which supports young people in and around care. To find out more about the charity, please visit: https://www.break-charity.org/charity/
We can help charities in three ways; offering a free supercar experience to young people/children that the charities help, giving a grant for which charities can apply or even donating a supercar as a raffle prize!
